Windows Media video can run in Linux using compatible media player. Linux supports video player or VLC client LAN from which you can run your files. VLC Player support WMV format files directly. Some common players typically used in Lynn Boxee and real player Mplayer Helix Player.

When playing WMV files on Mac

WMV files cannot run on Vista because of operating system. It doesn't do anything.
